FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to install Android Studio or any other software manually?

No. Web2APK Builder Pro downloads and sets up everything it needs automatically the first time you use it. Just install the app and click one button — it handles the rest.

Will the app work with any website?

Yes, as long as it's publicly accessible via a URL. Sites behind a login work too — users sign in inside the app just as they would in a browser. Local HTML folders are also supported.

Can I publish the APK to the Google Play Store?

The Play Store requires the AAB format. Web2APK Builder Pro outputs both — take the .aab file and upload it to your Play Console. A Google Play Developer account ($25 one-time fee) is required.

What happens if I lose my keystore?

Without your original keystore you can't publish updates to an existing listing. Always use the Download Keystore button after your first build and store it safely — it cannot be recovered.

Can I use my own existing keystore?

Yes. In the Signing section, select "Upload Existing Keystore" and browse to your .jks or .keystore file, using the same alias and passwords it was created with.

Is AdMob required?

No. It's completely optional — leave the toggle off and no ad code is included in the build.

Does this work for offline / local HTML apps?

Yes. Select "Local HTML Folder" as the source and browse to any folder containing an index.html file — the entire folder is bundled so it works fully offline.

What is Fast Build Mode?

When enabled, the builder outputs only the final APK/AAB without saving the full Android project to disk, saving space and time. Recommended for most users.

Can I update my app after publishing?

Yes. Increment the Version Code by 1, optionally update the Version Name, then rebuild using the same keystore and upload the new AAB as a new release.

What Android versions does the output app support?

By default the app targets API 35 (Android 15) and supports back to API 24 (Android 7.0), covering over 95% of active devices. Minimum SDK can be lowered to API 21 (Android 5.0).
